Studenthälsan - the Student Health center

Life as a student can be challenging at times, especially when you are far away from home. That is why we are here to stand by your side when you need assistance. We are a team of specialists: psychologists, counselors, therapists, a nure and doctors, all with the focus on student related health issues. So, if life is tough, you have started missing exams or just need someone to talk to, we are here for you.

To get in touch with us or/and to book an appointment

You can always get in touch with our receptionist by telephone and book an appointment with the appropriate person. To get in touch with a professional to get advice/book an appointment: You can reach a counselor/psychologist Monday to Friday 12.45–14.15. To reach our nurse: Monday and Friday only at 8.30–9.30.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30–12.00 and 12.45–16.00, except Tuesday when we open at 12.45 and Friday when we close at 15.00.

We charge a fee: 140 Skr for each appontment.

When you visit us for an appointment you need to bring documentation which shows that you are studying at one of the universities in Uppsala. If you have to cancel your appointment, do so no later than 4 p.m. the day before your appointment, by calling the reception 018-15 50 50. Otherwise you will be charged the full fee!

The Swedish Primary Health Care

The Swedish Primary Health Care (PHC) system offers a wide range of health care services and there are several well equipped centers around Uppsala. They are the ones to contact if you have physical health problems like colds, somach problems, a sprained ankle or other such problems. Be sure to check your health insurance from home that your expenses will be covered. To get in touch with the PHC call: 1177, they speak Enblish.
