When do I contact the Student health centre?

If you are a student at Uppsala University or SLU and suffer from any of the following conditions you are welcome to contact us:

anxiety, lack of confidence, stress, problems with alcohol, speech anxiety, performance anxiety, lack of ability to concentrate, crises and relationship problems in connection with the situation as a student, sleeplessness, lack of appetite, stomach trouble, tiredness, neck pains and shoulders pains, headaches, problems in connection to examinations and papers, allergies or asthma connected to the study environment. All information from patients is confidential.

Important! For medical problems you need to get in touch with a hospital or medical centre within the Swedish public healthcare system, the Student health centre doesn't deal with medical problems.

The Student Health Center (Studenthälsan) provides study related healthcare for students at Uppsala university and SLU. Here you will find doctors, nurses, psychologists and counsellors specializing in study related problems.

This is how it works

  • Visits are by appointment only.
  • Booking by telephone only.
  • Fees are paid in cash.
  • Telephone consultations are free of charge.
  • You need documentation that shows that you are studying at one of the universities in Uppsala.
  • If you don't cancel a booked appointment you will be charged the full fee.

Gynaecologist (230 kr/visit)*

Contraceptives, counselling free of charge.*

Chlamydia screening for men. Free of charge.*

Men without symptoms are welcome. Telephone 018-12 82 10. Monday–Friday 08.15–09.15 and 11.30–12.30.
