Studenthälsan - the Student Health center

Studenthälsan's mission is the well-being of the students at Uppsala university and SLU. Our operation deals both with body and mind: study related healthcare and our sports branch, Campus1477, with two top class training facilities. The healthcare is open to students only, whereas anyone can become member at Campus1477 (cheaper for students/university staff/alumni though). The Student Health centre is situated on the top floor at Övre slottsgatan 7, in the same building as the Student union, close to the cathedral and University main building. If you want to learn more about sports and training, visit the website of Campus1477.

Study related healthcare

Life as a student can be challenging at times, especially when you're far from home. The Student health centre helps you if you experience difficulties related to your studies, problems such as for instance stress, depression, anxiety, depression or lack of self-esteem. At the Student Health Center you'll find counsellors, psychologists, general practitioners and nurses, all specialized in study related problems. You can reach us on weekdays during the semesters. Medical problems

Important! For medical problems you have to turn to the Swedish public healthcare system, the hospitals and medical centers. The public healthcare system will treat you under the same conditions as Swedish citizens if you are a citizen of an EU country with a valid European health insurance card, if you have stayed here for more than a year and are registered at the tax office. If you come from a non-EU country and are here for less than one year, you will have to show documentation of a valid healthcare insurance from your home country.
